This is a semi abstract painting inspired by swimming in the waters around Scolt Head Island on the North Norfolk coast. It has that magical quality capturing the essence of place. This painting is about that feeling of connection and a reminder of all the times I found myself bobbing about in the water.
Created using layers of glazing it has a rich Prussian blue almost black depth to it and would be well suited for a darker wall or favourite nook to hang. With it’s distinct watery quality it captures the movement of the sea, and makes me want to dive in and enjoy the cool waters.
