Picnic on the Dunes
This contemporary painting was inspired by the long stretch of dunes reaching along the coastline from Burnham Overy Staithe to Holkham beach, perched high on the dune ridge so as to look straight out to sea. Its simplicity evokes a meditative and calm quality for the viewer. Painted using a layering of glazes to build up a richness and depth to the sweeping strokes of Marram grasses and sky.
Your eye is led straight outward to watch the horizon line, with such a strong composition it is ideal for a corner or a special place that it can be hung as a reminder of spacious skies, expansive seas and the pleasure of resting on the soft sand and dancing grasses.

Bring a piece of timeless, dreamy skies and elegant simplicity to your wall with this original artwork. Allow the sky to lift you up into the cobalt ether and drift on the clouds. Below, stripes of light can be seen extending the horizon gently out to sea. This contemporary painting began its life observing the ever transient movement of the sky and clouds, and the work follows the same path: beginning with play, then a gradual building of soft layers that create movement and depth.

This is a semi-abstract painting inspired by swimming in the waters around Scolt Head Island on the North Norfolk coast. It has that magical quality capturing the essence of place. This painting is about that feeling of connection and a reminder of all the times I found myself bobbing about in the water.
Created using layers of glazing it has a rich Prussian blue, almost black depth to it, and would be well suited for a darker wall or favourite nook to hang. With its distinct watery quality it captures the movement of the sea, and invites you to dive in and enjoy the cool solitude.

Joyful, subtle violet hues give this small square painting a striking quality which glows with light. It’s a painting that feels uplifting and captures a unique ethereal luminosity which I find very spiritual.
Cloud Gazing has such a wonderful colour palette, it is full of charm and would sit comfortably as a stand alone piece or in a gallery wall. It is full of texture and vibrant brushwork with areas of glazing and mark making that add character and depth to the piece.

The Clouds Caught my is a small painting that blends together a lovely vibrant colour palette, with bold, flowing brushstrokes and pops of brightness that draws the eye. Textural marks build a history in this piece and the signature blues of the sky above pair beautifully with the lilac clouds and deep waters as they wind through the contours of the coastal landscape.

View across the Marshes
There’s a timeless quality to this painting, taking in the beautiful views across the water meadows and marshes along the North Norfolk coast path. The captivating sway of the Hemp Agrimony amongst the reeds with its unique colour palette, often referred to as ‘Raspberries & Cream’, draw the eye and bringing a playful, frothy burst of colour.
This original artwork brings a subtle splash of the floral with red violet shadows and soft green hues into your home. The balance of the composition and muted colour palette also have a contemporary feel which lends itself to being hung on a gallery wall or as a stand alone piece to remind you of the abundant beauty and variety of coastal flora.

This Contemporary Landscape focuses on the cobalt blue sky, where a cloud hangs, soft in it’s fullness. The hazy light evokes memories of sunny day warmth. The painting captures the boldness of the cloud form, seen beyond the mud and marsh edges there is the feeling of expansiveness and distance even as you are rooted in the sand beneath your feet. For me the painting is a playful invitation to leap into the sky and fluffy contours of the clouds beyond.
Perfect for bringing a bright glow of cobalt colour to your wall. It’s striking, bold composition lends itself to a gallery wall or equally suited as a stand alone painting that will bring a lovely pop of brightness to any space.
